Sire: Ch. Corydon Handsome Hotspur
Dam: Corydon Gold Delilah
Oscar joined us in 1989 when nine weeks old and left us just a month short of his 11th birthday. He was and still is a very special dog and it broke my heart when he died.
Son of the famous Hotspur, Oscar was named after his sire and in that same litter was a puppy later to become Champion Corydon Gold Spur.
Oscar didn't have the same show success as Gold Spur, but did very well at open shows in spite of a novice handler, winning many Best of Breed awards and quite a few placings at championship shows too including Reserve Best Dog at Driffield Championship Show under Mr Kevin Young (Sunkap). He gained his Stud Book Number on home ground at Manchester Championship Dog Show, the last time it held classes for Rough Collies with CCs.
Oscar was my first 'real' show dog with whom I had great fun; my best mate and a truly fantastic dog. I will never get over losing him, and I still miss him very much.

Oscar winning Veteran Stakes aged 9 - the last time I showed him.
